A sustainable Townhouse in Manhattan
This project I worked on while collaborating with Long Island Citys firm SKODA Design + Architecture. Viridian Future was founded Abel B’Hahn. A gentleman passionate about creating a sustainable future for our planet.
"I moved to New York in mid 2012 after spending 6 years in Shanghai, China, where Lorna, my ex wife, was the President of Kraft Foods, China and I was a full time dad, life coach and wrote my first novel. I have had many careers, including being a building contractor in my 20’s and 30’s. When I saw the New York sky (Shanghai sky makes such simple pleasures powerful!), Central Park, and met some terrific New Yorkers, I fell ‘totally in love’ with the city. When a broken down, dirty townhouse came up for sale on the Upper West (West 95th, between Columbus and Amsterdam), a vision started to take shape of a transformation; a ‘totally green’ building, with a living roof, rainwater collection, who knows how far it could go… The offer was accepted and the deal closed on the 28 February, 2013 and then the project began."
